“Hi, my name is Alana Bowden. I am a third generation hotelier & General Manager of The Hurstville Ritz Hotel. I, like John, literally grew up in pubs, collecting glasses after I finished my homework & watching my grandfather as he changed kegs. As the years have passed, I have found my way from pouring beers to running the family business.
I can say without any doubt that I would not be able to do this without the support & expertise provided everyday by John. He is never too busy to answer my questions, no matter how big or small & to talk through any of my concerns, putting it in a way that I, as a publican understand- schooners & middies rather than decimal points & percentages.
As a publican the last thing you want is to be stuck in the office under a pile of paperwork when you should be on the floor working with your staff, serving your customers & driving your business forward. I am able to do this & more thanks to John’s continual support.
